DevOps / SRE engineer - Permanent role - Dundee, Scotland

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum + benefits + annual bonus
We are working with one of the leading software and services-led enterprise providers in the financial, retail and hospitality industries. This client is based in Dundee and they have an exciting opportunity available for a skilled DevOps/SRE professional to work with a team of highly skilled and motivated Agile software engineers, you will be focused on making the build and deployment systems scalable, reliable and efficient while ensuring performance and high availability.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Bridging and owning the union between Development, Quality and Operations
*Implementing build, integration and deployment pipeline strategies to allow continuous delivery
*Writing scripts and automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at a large scale
*Assessing and improving scalability, capacity and performance testing through automation
*Contributing to continuous improvement of our software delivery processes.
To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role focused on developing DevOps / SRE solutions.
This includes proven knowledge in:
*CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Harness, or GoCD
*Software configuration management using Artifactory, Git or Subversion
*Chef or other Infrastructure As Code technologies, such as Terraform, Helm, Salt, Ansible
*Performance testing using Gatling
*Hands-on experience with programming languages. We predominantly use Python, Scala & Java
*Log-aggregation systems such as Splunk, ElasticStack or Stackdriver
*Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other container-based technologies
*Experience of Cloud deployment to Google Cloud Platform, Azure or AWS
It would be advantageous if you've had exposure to the following technologies:
*Test automation libraries such as Selenium & JMeter
*Exposure to MS PowerShell
